Green Deal (as part of Horizon 2020)
The European Green Deal is the European Commission’s roadmap to making the EU’s economy sustainable by cutting pollution and restoring biodiversity and boosting the efficient use of resources by moving to a circular economy.
In order to achieve this, the EC is introducing €1 billion calls to fund projects expected to deliver results in the following 8 thematic areas:
• Increasing climate ambition
• Clean, affordable, and secure energy
• Industry for a clean and circular economy
• Energy and resource-efficient buildings
• Sustainable and smart mobility
• Farm to fork
• Biodiversity and ecosystems
• Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments
